In a circle of like-minded souls, under the guidance of Michelle, a skilled Shamanic Practitioner and Drum Doula, you will enter a space of reflection, reverence, and transformation, connecting with the ancient energies of Spirit, Mother Earth, and your own inner wisdom.

About the Drum

The medicine drum is a shamanic tool used for healing and transformation since ancient times. Drumming has the power to synchronise brain hemispheres and create altered states of consciousness in which healing and wisdom from the higher self can be obtained.

The drum echoes the heartbeat of the Earth and enables us to connect with the rhythm of life. Studies have shown that the Earth vibrates at a frequency of 7.8 – 12 cycles per second. The drum has a frequency of 7 – 14 cycles per second so when we listen to a drum beat we are aligning ourselves with the earth’s vibration. Each time we beat the drum we send out healing vibrations to the Earth. The indigenous people of North America call the drumbeat the heartbeat of the Earth and believe that through the drum we can feel the heartbeat of the Earth.

When you discover your connection with Spirit you will find that certain objects facilitate those connections and support you to accomplish your work more easily. These may include sacred drums, sacred sticks, rattles, accoutrements, smudge stick fans or plant medicine.

As a Shamanic practitioner, I birthed the tools I needed to continue my journey. During this process, I found a passion and love for crafting tools. I began Craft of Heart and Hearth to create and provide Shamanic tools to assist those travelling on their spiritual journey.

All of my work is forged in sacred space, whilst calling in Spirit into each item and embodying the material’s characteristics.

Whether the tool is to be used to create a sacred sound whilst on a journey or a power object used to amplify your intention, Tools From the Spirit can be custom made for each client.

I work with the separate elements that will become the tool and the spirits in those elements deepens the client’s connection to the final product. All animal materials have been ethically sourced or foraged from deceased animals.

I have been blessed to have wonderful teachers (Heather Price, Richard Littlefeather, Matthew Stonehouse and Jane Elworthy) who have provided me with the foundations and practices I now use to help others.

Arrive Friday afternoon (27th March) from 3.30pm and enjoy a weekend of medicine drum making, connection, and calm.  Our program will be completed after breakfast on Monday (March 30) at 11.30am.
